Why men don't look for supportive communities, and Why they should!

It's no secret that men are often reluctant to prioritise their health and wellness. Many men see taking care of their physical and mental health as a sign of weakness or vulnerability, and as a result, they may be less likely to seek out support or help from others. But the truth is that having a positive community of men who can support and encourage each other to focus on their health and fitness is incredibly important. This is primarily the reason why I created the Personal Revolution Reset Experience, to provide an opportunity for men to come together and take ownership of their life.

Here is a closer look at why men don't typically spend time together while doing something to benefit their health and wellness, and why it is so important for men to be part of a community that does.

One reason why men don't typically spend time together while doing something to benefit their health and wellness is that many men see it as a solitary pursuit. Many men believe that taking care of their health and fitness is something that they should do on their own, without the help or support of others. They often see seeking help or support from others as a sign of weakness or vulnerability, and as a result, they are reluctant to reach out to others for help or support..

Another reason is that men are often afraid of being judged by their peers. Many men are uncomfortable with the idea of sharing their struggles or weaknesses with others, and they are afraid that their peers will judge them or think less of them if they admit to not taking care of themselves in a way they know they should. As a result, they may be less likely to seek out support or groups of other men who are in the same boat as them.

But despite these obstacles, there are many good reasons why men should have a positive community where they can support and encourage each other, and to focus on their health and fitness. Having a supportive community makes it easier for men to stick to their health and fitness goals. When we have other men who motivate and encourage us, we are more likely to stay motivated and committed to our goals. Most men don’t want to let other men down, so having that group around us keeps us accountable to each other.

In addition, a positive community can help men feel less alone and isolated. Many men struggle with feelings of loneliness and isolation, particularly those with kids or who are single. Having a supportive community of men who understand their struggles and can offer encouragement and support can make a big difference. It’s very common for men to feel alone, and it doesn’t have to be the case.

Furthermore, having a brotherhood of men who are focused on their health and fitness can help men build stronger relationships with each other. When men support and encourage each other in their health and fitness endeavors, they can develop stronger bonds and build more meaningful relationships with each other. In a world where real connection is lacking, everything is moving to online, now more than ever we should be seeking out communities where we can interact face to face and develop more meaningful relationships. Having good friendships and bonds with people who are like minded and supportive, is key for the modern man to thrive in today’s society.

So what communities are you a part of? Are you surrounding yourself with positive people? Are you a bit of a lone wolf? Are you giving yourself the care and love you need to be the best version of yourself to the people that need you?

If the answers to these questions aren’t what you want them to be, I encourage you to spend some time thinking about how you could change them. Are there any communities you could join? Do you know of any men that you could reach out to and spend more time with them?
